Ooredoo Locate is a GPS tracking system tailored for a range of users, from small businesses to large corporations and government agencies. Its primary function is to monitor the locations of vehicles and equipment, ultimately enhancing organizational efficiency.

This system provides real-time GPS tracking, displaying vehicle locations on familiar mapping services like Google Maps. This feature simplifies vehicle deployment and allows users to reroute drivers to new calls in close proximity, leading to potential savings in both time and expenses.

In addition to its core tracking capabilities, Ooredoo Locate serves as a complementary tool for users with existing fleet management software hosted on their servers. Notably, the application offers a utility that transforms an iPhone into a tracking device, providing an economical alternative to traditional vehicle tracking systems. The application is offered free of charge with the goal of aiding users in managing their fleets cost-effectively.

It is important to note that the application requires continuous use of the GPS functionality in the background to track and transmit locations via GPRS or WiFi. Consequently, this necessitates the mobile device to operate in dedicated tracking mode for security reasons.

The intended audience primarily consists of fleet owners. Access is currently available through http://track.ooredoo.mv, where only administrators can create new user accounts via web login and subsequently provide end-users with their login credentials. It is worth mentioning that end-users are unable to register independently, and any addition of vehicles must also be conducted by an administrator through the web platform. Additionally, the application does not interface with other installed tracking devices in vehicles.

Disclaimer: Prolonged use of GPS in the background may significantly reduce battery life.
